About

Kase Chong was born and raised just east of Los Angeles where he started preparing for the film industry from a very young age. At only eight years young, Kase produced and directed his first “short”; an homage to Batman which consisted of 4 friends, 2 Batman cars from a McDonald’s Happy Meal, and the ingenious sFX use of an old treadmill to substitute for a moving street.

Kase was sidetracked from the entertainment world for a short while when he succumbed to the pressures of society, conformed to stereotypes, and decided to pursue a career in medicine by attending the top ranked bioengineering school, the University of California at San Diego; where he subsequently graduated with a degree in bio-engineering.

Not one to be off track for long, Kase was well on his way to attending medical school when he gave it all up for the bright lights of Hollywood. Kase submitted an essay on how he would revolutionize the entertainment industry and beat out 17 thousand other applicants nationwide for a spot in Mastercard’s Priceless Edge program. Following an intensive summer entertainment business course, Kase quickly rose to the top of the group and was selected as one of 12 winners to continue on with an internship at MTV.

Since then, Kase has made a successful career in the television industry and has worked on shows for NBC, ABC, CBS, and FOX. From MTV, Kase went on to work on live concert shows with the likes of Usher and Maya. From there, he moved on to game-shows such as Let’s Make A Deal for NBC. Finally, Kase transitioned to reality shows where he started his producing career. Eventually, Kase went on to Executive Produce a show for a national cable network which is currently enjoying a successful second season.

But television was only the beginning. After finishing a season as a producer on the hit show Flavor of Love starring the charismatic Flavor Flav, Kase felt there was more out there for him than reality television and decided to produce his first film. This led him to team up with director Van Pham and the project they partnered for Near Fall went on to become an Official Selection at the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival.

Now focusing his sights on directing, Kase is confident that he has the talent, determination, and vision needed to make what ever his next project may be a success.
